René Roskam joined Neugeboren O’Dowd PC in 2010 as an Intellectual Property Paralegal. She provides legal support to our attorneys.
René assists in the prosecution and maintenance of US and International trademark and patent portfolios. This includes working with our attorneys in creating, preparing, and filing legal documents associated with the registration and application processes and continued maintenance of intellectual properties.
René’s responsibilities include docketing, generating reports, receiving communications from patent and trademark offices, communicating with clients and foreign counsel, monitoring registrations and renewals, and conducting occasional trademark and patent special projects requiring research and analysis. In addition, René works with other office staff to maintain an accurate patent and trademark database/file for pending and issued applications.
Prior to joining Neugeboren O’Dowd PC, René worked as a Technical Writer and Production Coordinator in the field of Network/Utility Database Management for several large utility, telephone, and cable television corporations before forming a private consulting firm in the same field.
René received her Paralegal certification by completing an Associate of Applied Science Degree in the field of Paralegal Studies at Front Range Community College where she graduated magna cum laude.
